Big Fish here, once again thanks for all of the suggestions and workout plans. Im going to start a new lifting plan tom. when i lift. I was wondering about soy milk. Is that a good milk replacement, i dont care much for the taste of milk and really dont drink a lot of it but i put it on my oatmeal to help cream it up a little. Also i was wondering about fruit, is that a good post-workout food for a quick sugar boost? And how bout cream of rice? dont know if you have it over there, sure you do tho. Its a consistency just like cream of wheat or grits(im from the south so i eat grits occasionally, which is corn) but i was wondering about that for post-workout as well? or anytime. what veggies are best? i love broc. calif. corn(cob) and mushrooms, potatoes of course, any other suggestions.

brocolli, green beans and mushies are indeed good. Full of nitamions and moinerals and most of all 'fibre'. Eat em by the bucket load too as they don't count toward ya calorific daily count. ***Note : potatoes count !!! Big time. Watch it.
That creamed rice thing is a sound idea I reckon...for post workout. Check the label for some nutritional info. Make sure its got loads of Protein (atleast 30grams) and if not have 2 tins or 3 if its got even less. Do be careful of the saturated fats though. I'm certain its gunna have loads of carbs and loads of sugar. Perhaps its best for a bulking phase (which in your case is right on).
Not tried grits, but have always wondered. Use to love Creamed Rice in Australia as a teen...must look into getting some here, provided the nutritional values stack up in right...thanks for the reminder.
As for Soy, I seem to recall Soy Proteins lacking in one or more of the essential facets that make protein whole/complete. ABIGVEGGIE or SHADOW are best for Vegetarian style quetions like that one. It may mean some amino supplementation is required. Try skim milk. It has a less pungent taste than full cream. Almost watery dude.
Good luck with the new routine. Can we see it?

Soy protein provides all the essential amino acids required by us for growth, maintenance, and to deal with physical stress. Of all vegetable proteins, the soy protein amino acid composition is the most complete, and is most like that of high quality animal proteins. Soy protein can also improve the nutritional value of other foods - soy protein contains extra amounts of some amino acids, which can make up for the deficiencies in other foods.
I would and normally do use soy protein in my first and last shake of they day mixed with whey to slow the absorbtion down.
Hope this helps.

Well, blow me down. I stand corrected on the Soy front, but must pooint point out the fact that I did indicate that I was unsure and That Shadz would set ya straight. Soy=good.
So, Bri. Its som beans like kidney etc that are moderate in theirt protein levels but lack in essential amino areas right? Please say ive got this one right, I have a reputation to build ('create').

Rich, no worries I believe you are correct as Soy beans are the only beans with a full spectrum. However if you eat kidney beans with brown rice you will be digesting a full amino acid spectrum.

Thats good, as my most recent concoction for work consumption consists of copious amounts of Turkey Mince, Garlic, Brown rice, diced Tomatoes, Green Chilis and Red Kidney Beans (affectionately known as my turkey chili). Thanks for the heads up.
